finally got a chance to go online after so long.
had 1 whole wk of rdshow last wk @ douby gaut, 7 days!
tot i had to go bk office this morn for meeting, but lucky my manager was nice enough to give us a holiday 2day in lieu of hari raya on sat, so i m enjoying myself slacking and watching shows @ home!
but sumhow, i still feel abit guilty for not making any calls and doing any work. :(
for those who dun already know, this biz is tough.
this rdshow juz reinforced wat i already know, most singaporeans are unreceptive of surveys, esp insurance.
and this mostly applies to the chinese, sadly. esp middle-aged chinese
the malays and indians and foreigners have a higher receptivity, and are abit friendlier, even with rejections. sigh.
and i realised sumting, in a couple, the woman is mostly the "yim jim" (stingy in dunno which dialect) 1, when i approach a couple, the guy might be quite ready to do the survey with me liao, but the woman will be the 1 fighting me off. lol sumtimes their expressions quite funny lah.
the guy will stop, have the expectantly curious face, peering over at my survey form to see the questions and say sumting like "ohok, wat is it abt/wat do i have to do?" and the girl will hook her hand over the guy or hold the guy's arm and pull him away, while waving the other hand at me and saying "no, sorry, no time/rushing/busy!" lol.
but i do have more den my fair share of rejections.
got stared fiercely at, got "siam-ed"(avoided) by, got ignored, etc. common stuff i guess. if i m doing this alone, i will prob give up after an hr or two, but looking at my colleagues doing the same ting, facing the same rejections and persevering on, it doesnt seem so bad actually. they r quite nice colleagues. and at least we can always complain to each other or chit-chat occasionally. haha. and as usual, i m the xiao mei mei in the company again. lol.
but i realised, for a start, this job really dwindles ur bank acc. $$ for clothes and dressing up aside, u need $$ for food (coz u r outside most of the time), $$ for transport (coz u r always running ard) and $$ for entertainment (if u r with a client), and i still haven included $$ for my own personal expenses. oh well.
went shikin's hse for hari raya lunch as usual. and was greeted by a whole display of cookies and cakes on her table as usual. and lunch was pretty nice as usual too, authentic malay food. esp this spicy cuttlefish dish dat is always the spicest dish every yr, but oso the most shiok lah! but every yr i can only eat 1 piece lah, too hot! and her 8-mth old nephew was SO DAMN CUTE!!!! but i was so excited by friends and food and babies dat i forgot to take pics of everyting. damn.
ending with a quote:
"You may not be the smartest, prettiest or most attractive girl i have seen, but you are definitely the girl i love most. And i will never trade you, even for any of the above three girls."

work is so damn tiring. and its only training. juz too boring lah.
and damn tough. oh well.
"I hate how much i love you girl, i cant stand how much i need you"
parents shld learn how to control their kids in public. seriously.
i was in the train juz now at tanah merah, and a FLOCK (ok, only 4 lah) of kids rushed into the train and fought for the 1 empty seat which was coincidentally (in a bad way) next to me. so basically the 4 kids were playing "stacking pyramids" whereby they take turns to seat on each other, making so much noise in their course of fun, while their mum juz silently stood near the door. like aren't she supposed to take them in hand or sumting?! lucky i was blasting my earpiece.
den when i was waiting for the bus at pasir ris interchange, a bus stopped at the bus bay to let the passengers alight. one kid was holding an unfinished bottle of drink, and she suddenly juz threw (or dropped, i dunno) it on the floor. and the worse thing is, the mum (or guardian), instead of picking up the bottle and throwing it in the bin, juz conveniently kicked the bottle to the wall!!! dats such a GOOD example lah! sigh.
