on the last day, we did our last min shopping in the day as our flight is at nite. had a bfast of roasted meats with rice at a char chan teng near our hotel.

roasted goose (a plate). tastes suspiciously like roast chicken, but fatter

roasted pigeon. a tougher texture than the goose, but juz as oily!

walked past this shop on the way to bfast, so decided to patronise it on the way bk to the hotel as they are very famous for their milk desserts, even went on tv wor!

famous double-skin milk (双皮奶). very milky but nice. esp the thin layer of top skin!
and it marks the end of our HK trip. cant wait to go bk there to try more new food!

3rd day was a solely-shopping day, and we started with dim sum brunch that she went to the previous trip, but this time the standards all dropped and the price increased(btw SGD2-5 for most items). not worth going bk. nway, here's wat we had:

steamed beefballs. pretty bad, but i ordered it purely out of curiousity. heh.

pan-fried carrot cake. didnt try this.

century egg and liver congee. nothing very impressive.

cheong fun with char siew.

chicken claws. didnt eat this too.

siew mai with quail's egg. out of curiousity too.

xiao long bao. so-so only.

went to try Sum Hung Kei for dinner as it was recommended by some Singaporeans online

beef brisket noodles. noodles are still as springy as the previous ones, but i found the beef brisket abit fatty, next time will try the stomach/tripes instead.

went to try another recommended place, Hang Fa Lou for dessert, which was 2 doors away from Sum Hung Kei.

beancurd in almond milk. very silky and smooth.

walnut cream. very smooth, almost like walnut soup!

lastly, went to watch Symphony of Lights at nite, which is basically 20mins of various lights flashing across a streamline of buildings with music. yawnz. nice sight for pics though.

HK is a place with great food! the 1st meal we had was at a cha chan teng near our hotel...

she had the wanton mee (a must eat dish for every1 dat comes to HK), very yummy!! the wanton is so big, we counted 3 prawns stuffed in 1 wanton! not like the ones in SG which are small and half of it is juz skin!

i had the beefball noodles....big bouncy beefballs! and i realised all their noodles are very springy, not like the soggy ones we get in some SG stalls...
Met up with frenz, and they bot us to Xiao Fei Yang (little fat lamb) for a SUPER ex steamboat....shall not go into the details, but most of the food there r fresh and quite nice...

,5:01 PM
went to see their local mkt coz dad was curious...quite alot of seafood and veg, but we were there quite late, so didnt really see much meat....in front of the mkt was a stall selling baos, and dad was curious again, and bot 2 baos to try...

韭菜包

罗卜包

i forgot the name of this, but it was some pan-fried pastry which wasnt nice at all....the baos are pretty ave too...at least the skin is not soggy though...
