i finally realised that tears can be a natural form of sleeping pills, after it makes u numb, u start to feel sleepy.
dats how i managed to slp for the past few days.
its non-toxic, and washes ur eyes too.
once asked myself if i did the right thing? will i regret wat i did?
i tink my ans is no.
if i had another choice, maybe i will do the same thing again.
parting is inevitable in my circle, its juz a matter of time.
incidentally, when i went downstairs to catch sum tv this afternoon, ch8 was showing a long ago hk drama called "7-yr itch"(direct translation from chi).
and there was a scene where by this actress was telling another actor abt her parents who divorced coz the dad found another woman, so the mum let him go and brought the daughter up herself. and the actress said, although it has been so many yrs, and the mum was the 1 who let the dad go, she still believes dat her mum still loves her dad alot. so the actor asked her how does she know? so she replied, "its in the coffee". den the actor held up his cup of coffee and started to inspect it, and printed on the coffee cup, were the words "love is to have, not to hold".
and i finally understood why i did what i did.
loving sum1 is not having the person by ur side everyday, but allowing him/her to be happy for the longest time possible.
"i love u. but i cant love u the way u wan me to. so i have to let u go."

its been a long time since i came in again.
alot of things have happened since den.
some pple came, others left.
no pt harping over the past.
over wats right and wats wrong.
wat i shld have done, wat i shouldnt.
in everything in life, u have to make a choice.
theres no "best of both worlds".
1 motto i live by is "ideally, u shld make yourself AND others ard you happy. but if u cant make urself happy, at least make others happy."
love is not everything.
it doesnt give u the right to be selfish.
it doesnt give u the right to "own" anyone, no matter how strong ur love is.
as the famous phrase goes, "爱情不是占有,而是学会放手,让对方得到快乐"
"我爱你,但我没有挽留你的资格,所以我选者放你走,让你寻找你应得的快乐"
i tink dats enough said for 2dae.

finally, 2008 is coming to an end. its time to face the challenges of 2009.
i haven been blogging anyting serious for quite sometime, so heres the last 1 from the heart, before 2009:
i am not gd with words, but there are still some pple i need to thank before 2008 ends(not in order):
1) my parents and bro.
they r STILL nagging, dat will prob nvr stop till i m 50, but i know they care. esp when they still pay all my credit card bills when i m supposed to be already working and giving allowance, and although they kp emphasizing its ON LOAN for now, they still pay. when i ask for support, they give. when i dun ask, they still give. when i dun take, they juz give. as for bro, i noe he cares, by not caring. lol.
2) the fantastic 3 and my fantastic boss.
for being there the whole of 2008. i see them more den i see anybody else, including my parents lah. there r ups and downs, but thank you for standing by me. i know it when my boss was angry when i was "interrogated" by the seniors during annual planning 2007, when i have a temp PA who offers her services when i need it the most albeit with jokes of charging, when i have someone who kp "nagging" at me to work hard but is proud of me when i really do, and someone who really bothers to make the effort to gel all of us together, happily. u guys are so great, even my friends envy me for having you ard. wat more can i say?
3) my long-time friends like the PL gang and the TPJC gang.
there's a long history behind us, but thank you for making the effort to keep the friendship going, and bringing our history into the future.
4) all my other friends who bothered to make sure we meet up occasionally throughout the year, or at least made the 1st move to say "hi" over msn/sms. i am sorry if i have neglected u guys in any way, but thank you for still being ard.
last but not least,
the OH.
i have prob said more than enough "thank-you"s throughout the months, but thank you once again. for being you.
ok dats all i can rmb for now, if i missed any1 out, i m so sorry! but dun worry, the list is still open to additions! haha!

pple say my blog is only full of food pics, very boring, so heres finally a real post:
soon, Yr 2008 will come to an end, and for AIA, FY 2009 has already started. annual planning is on mon, which is 1 of the days i DO NOT look forward to. maybe coz i m getting scared of committment. but still, wat needs to be done, needs to be done.
Goals for FY 2009:
1) $30,000 FYC
2) Shining Star
3) at least 2 paid-up holidays
achievable, but tough.
i didnt achieve all my goals last yr, but dat's past. this is the last and final year. my do-or-die year. next yr is supposed to be my lucky year, lets see how true it is.
sun i will start tinking abt my planning speech (if theres even 1), and decide whether i shld give model answers or simply say wat i wan.
sat i will start writing my clients' christmas cards (and prob silently cursing myself for not getting my own chop yet so i dun have to sign on every card).
2nite, i will give my sick body a good slp. suddenly it feels nice to be home on a wkend. :)

on the last day, we did our last min shopping in the day as our flight is at nite. had a bfast of roasted meats with rice at a char chan teng near our hotel.

roasted goose (a plate). tastes suspiciously like roast chicken, but fatter

roasted pigeon. a tougher texture than the goose, but juz as oily!

walked past this shop on the way to bfast, so decided to patronise it on the way bk to the hotel as they are very famous for their milk desserts, even went on tv wor!

famous double-skin milk (双皮奶). very milky but nice. esp the thin layer of top skin!
and it marks the end of our HK trip. cant wait to go bk there to try more new food!
,11:17 PM
3rd day was a solely-shopping day, and we started with dim sum brunch that she went to the previous trip, but this time the standards all dropped and the price increased(btw SGD2-5 for most items). not worth going bk. nway, here's wat we had:

steamed beefballs. pretty bad, but i ordered it purely out of curiousity. heh.

pan-fried carrot cake. didnt try this.

century egg and liver congee. nothing very impressive.

cheong fun with char siew.

chicken claws. didnt eat this too.

siew mai with quail's egg. out of curiousity too.

xiao long bao. so-so only.

went to try Sum Hung Kei for dinner as it was recommended by some Singaporeans online

beef brisket noodles. noodles are still as springy as the previous ones, but i found the beef brisket abit fatty, next time will try the stomach/tripes instead.

went to try another recommended place, Hang Fa Lou for dessert, which was 2 doors away from Sum Hung Kei.

beancurd in almond milk. very silky and smooth.

walnut cream. very smooth, almost like walnut soup!

lastly, went to watch Symphony of Lights at nite, which is basically 20mins of various lights flashing across a streamline of buildings with music. yawnz. nice sight for pics though.

on the 2nd day we went to Lantau Island to see the Golden Buddha....took a cable car from Tung Chung Cable Car Station to Ngongping Station, with very nice scenery!
had a vegetarian brunch at the Ngongping Garden Restaurant (which was quite ex, theres prob a cheaper place in the temple further down the road which we missed)...had 2 dishes to share and a bowl of rice each...

Mock sweet & sour chicken balls

Luo Han Zhai
went bk in the noon, and shopped ard abit more b4 meeting our frenz for dinner and drks at nite

tried a famous noodle place called Zim Zhai Kei, ard the Central area, which is quite near Lan Kwai Fong....

i had the wanton and beef slices noodles, and the wantons are juz as nice!! and the beef slices are very tender, noodles r springy! nice!
